Following: Render unto Caesar that which belongs to Caesar and render unto God that which belongeth to God:
There are certain things that the State rightfully deserves; but there are things that the State should never attempt to take away or misconstrue, and that is the eternal laws of the moral order. When the State tries to disrupt the harmony of the virtues, then it brings nothing but disarray and chaos to the souls and to the society. When the State demands an acquiescence to disorder or decadence, then it is the duty of the Christian to resist, for Caesar does not deserve such indiscriminate obedience.
When Antiochus Epiphanies told the Hebrews to burn incense to false gods, Judas Maccabees and his armies resisted with zeal and tenacity; when Ahab and Jezebel were slaughtering the priests of God, Elijah slew the prophets of Baal. All of these stories demonstrate the balance between observing law and resisting tyranny; all of these stories are a physical manifestation of Christ’s words.
Absolutely and in both the Catholic and Protestant Bibles the Apostle Paul exhorts all to “Have No Divisions.” I never hear Catholics (but wait, I did in this very thread) diss Protestants but a lot of Protestants are vehement in their hatred for Catholics. Hangover from their ancestors who had to justify their reasons for leaving (some of which were valid but I think the time to return, united, is very near)? God, before His Christ came to us in the flesh, said, “My House shall be called a House of Prayer for All people.” Again, both the Douay Rheims & the KJV same the exact same thing. How can anyone call themselves a Christian (I hear Protestants saying Catholics are not Christians! Dumb, dumb!) and hate another Christian? No divisions? Absurd! Too many to count. I would be labelled a “faux Catholic” by the small minded as I do as instructed in the Word but not necessarily what individual priests might advise me to do, going into Protestant churches fairly often. I do understand why the schism in the Church occured, as per: “My Churches shall be filled full of generations of vipers.” And indeed, they have been. The Church must do a better job of ridding itself of these vipers who, in no small part, brought the terrible division, as must the protestant churches as well (None immune). God, not a man, will decide where I, a “faux” Catholic, go after this.
Pope Francis, coming from the background he did, is not one iota intimidated by the Muslims, imo. How could he be? The Muslim who shot Saint John Paul the Great converted to Christianity After He was Unable to Kill the Pope! Didn’t you know? Francis knows of The Power. The Real Power: The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Father of the Christ! Of course it wasn’t widely publicized by the satanic corporate media of this world but it is true, nonetheless. Francis was following scripture when he prayed alongside the Muslims: “And it shall come to pass in the last days that the house of the Lord shall be prepared…And many nations shall come….to the House of the God of Jacob….for all people will walk everyone in the name of his god: but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever.” (Michah 4: 1-5, Douay Rheims) Note: Everyone in the name of his god. The passage is identical in the KJV. Peace on earth!
